Web E-mail Access

Web E-mail Access System Web E-mail Access with a Browser

WebMail provides access to LAN-based e-mail systems from anywhere in the world over the World Wide Web. It's an interactive web e-mailer that provides a virtual mailbox accessible through your familiar Web browser. Unlike other web e-mail solutions, WebMail requires no proprietary dial-in software, and no forwarding of mail to a special address while you're on the road. It supports a variety of e-mail systems, including Microsoft Mail, Lotus Notes, cc:Mail, IMAP4, POP3, Microsoft Exchange, and ExpressIT!

It's also platform independent, so any machine with access to the World Wide Web can become a part of your web e-mail system.

Many Sites, Single Solution

WebMail links one of the most widely installed LAN applications, e-mail, to the fastest growing segment of the Internet, the World Wide Web. Now, remote offices, employees who travel or work from home, vendors, clients, and others who need access to your e-mail system can use a single web e-mail access solution.

It is completely platform independent. All that's required is a supported browser and access to the World Wide Web. You can access your PC based e-mail system from a Macintosh or even an X-Windows Web browser. WebMail offers an intuitive user interface with icons, buttons, folders, and even a spell checker.

Reduces Costs while Simplifying E-Mail

WebMail reduces web e-mail access costs and simplifies e-mail management for remote sites. Remote offices and customer sites that are linked via a local call to the Internet can enjoy e-mail connectivity that was previously performed with routers, gateways, and long distance phone calls.

Support of web e-mail users is simplified because e-mail access is identical from any location. Also, mail doesn't need to be forwarded to a special address while a user is traveling.

SSL Module Available

WebMail SSL Module is an add-on security module designed for Infinite InterChange and WebMail. The SSL Module uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt web e-mail transfer between remote clients and the WebMail or Infinite InterChange server. With SSL, your e-mail access remains private as it passes through a chain of Internet servers.

Scheduler Module

Ease-of-use, a diverse range of features, and complete compatibility with WebMail make WebScheduler a valuable solution for corporations, educational institutions, as well as ISP's and portals that want to offer a full-featured calendaring service to their end users.

SPAM Filter

The WebClean anti-spam feature uses a pre-defined (but configurable) set of Open Relay and/or SPAM site databases (e.g., ORDB.ORG, ORBZ.ORG, SPAMCOP.NET, etc.) to block messages that are coming inbound from the mail servers that are identified in the databases. It also allows several lists of manually defined filters: IP addresses allowed even though blacklisted, IP addresses disallowed even though NOT blacklisted, "MAIL FROM:" allowed and disallowed, "RCPT TO:" allowed and disallowed.

Supports Many Standards

WebMail ships with templates to support many browser capabilities and languages. Users can select the appropriate templates. WebMail's architecture provides an API layer to support a variety of e-mail packages using industry standards such as VIM, MAPI, CMC, and SMF. Support for additional modules will be included in future versions.
