Dramatically increase the security level
of intra-company traffic via the Internet, and in many cases replace the use of expensive
dedicated lines with SonicWALL's Virtual Private Networking (VPN) option. SonicWALL's VPN enables you to encrypt
information between two SonicWALL
appliances in a user transparent mode. Each connection,
between two appliances that are part of the
encryption strategy, is automatically encrypted on one
appliance and decrypted on the other.
SonicWALL VPN Client software allows
mobile users to securely access a SonicWALL VPN over the Internet using
dial-up modem connections. SonicWALL’s Group VPN feature eases deployment of
VPN Clients by automatically generating a VPN Client configuration file for
multiple clients.
Microsoft Windows Network Support
Microsoft Windows network support is integrated into the SonicWALL VPN
gateway and does not require any extra servers or
applications. Simply click a checkbox during
configuration and your remote PC integrates into the office windows network.
Viewing local and remote resources is transparent via the Windows
Networking Neighborhood.
SonicWALL Authentication Service
If you want to enhance the security and management of your VPN, you can
subscribe to the Web-based SonicWALL Authentication Service. You use one
SonicWALL certificate for each Internet security appliance and one for each
SonicWALL VPN Client used for dial-up connections. Beyond authenticating
remote users, SonicWALL Authentication Service allows you to revoke VPN
access remotely. For example, an employee who leaves your organization can
be instantly removed from your VPN. Likewise, new telecommuters can be
"turned on" remotely to get them up and running quickly.
