Sessionwall Network Security

The
Next Generation of Network Security
Sessionwall combines usage reporting, content
scanning, intrusion detection, immediate alerts of policy violations, automatic blocking
of inappropriate network sessions and other corporate Internet usage protection features
in a single integrated network security package.
When you connect your local or corporate network to
the web and use Internet technology within your company, you are faced with two major
concerns:
 | Sheltering your company against
outside intrusion and service denial attacks. |
 | Protecting your company against
internal abuse and productivity loss. |
Sessionwall provides an effective and economical
way of doing both without changing your current network topology, without introducing any
network performance overheads, and without extensive planning.
Sessionwall provides you with
the tools to see how your network is being used, helps you analyze this information and
allows you to apply this information to protect your network. You can monitor network
usage by viewing a real time graph of network traffic or request a report showing a
breakdown of network traffic for a specific period.
Sessionwall
provides the intrusion
detection services, virus
detection and Java/ActiveX detection and blocking
in an easy to install and use manner. It also provides extensive usage documentation for
subsequent legal action, and reports to help identify other usage anomalies. Sessionwall
provides comprehensive intrusion detection services.
By default, Sessionwall logs
all incoming and outgoing Email messages, enabling you to view the actual content of the
messages. You can also define rules to log or block details of Email messages from or to
specific stations and messages that contain certain strings of text e.g. abusive language.
Sessionwall is a session level network analyzer that scans all TCP and UDP network traffic. Information
about these sessions can be viewed in a number of formats such as binary and ASCII.
Swapping between these formats is also possible. Sessionwalls ability to display
details about network activities at session level makes it an important tool for debugging
session level applications.
Sessionwall enables you to
see and monitor internal and Internet network activity. It allows you to protect your
Intranet users and servers by looking at traffic passing over the network rather than just
looking at traffic passing through a single point.
Not only does Sessionwall present you with a
wide range of reports, it also allows you to choose whether the reports should contain
current or historical data, which stations should be included in the reports and how the
data in the reports should be sorted. Furthermore, Sessionwall allows you to schedule
the generation of reports at any hour of the day, week or month with a few mouse-clicks. This
means that although you are not present in the office, you can still get an idea of the
activities that took place in your absence. After generation, reports can be viewed on
screen, printed to the default printer, sent as Email or saved to disk using several
formats.
With Sessionwalls alerting system you
can choose various notification methods, which allow you to take action even if
youre out of the office. These methods include displaying a message on the screen of
the computer running Sessionwall, sending an Email message, sending a fax, playing a sound
or sending a message to a pager.
Sessionwall Enterprise Version extends
Sessionwall with the ability to centrally manage multiple distributed Sessionwalls,
remotely manage remote Sessionwalls and to consolidate selected information in a common
relational data base
