Release 3.60

Captaris announces Version 3.60 of WebMail®, a server-based software application that eliminates the need for a remote email client for receiving remote email. The product lets users send and receive email from any browser-equipped PC. Simply go to the designated Web page that is WebMail-enabled and log in as a user to send and receive email. WebMail provides a familiar email client user interface consisting of all the buttons and dialog boxes needed to manage e­mail messages from any source and of any length.

WebMail is an ideal solution for those companies with remote offices or for employees who travel, or for vendors, clients, and just about anyone else who may need remote email access. By eliminating the need for the email client, WebMail provides truly universal access to email systems. All that's required are a Web browser and access to the World Wide Web.

Several new features help make WebMail a powerful remote email system. The user interface has been greatly enhanced to look more like your existing email client. WebMail offers powerful message management features, including:

	Message sort order
	Message threading based on subject
	Personal address book
	Distribution list support
	Address search capabilities
	Password protection
	SSL module for secure sessions

Other features include multiple folders, message searching, signatures, sending and receiving of file attachments, a user-customizable interface, and multiple message templates. The majority of changes in this release are to provide improved support and interoperability with a wider range of compatible products.
