 AS/400 SMTP and TCP/IP
Resources
The AS/400 includes SMTP and TCP/IP resources that can be
used to integrate with other e-mail systems that use SMTP. NetMail*400 fully supports
this integration option. Using this resource, the following e-mail integration can be
accomplished:
 | Attach multiple SNADS interconnected
AS/400s, running NetMail, to the Internet under a single domain name through
AS/400 SMTP.

| Send file attachments
as e-mail to any other SMTP based e-mail server under the enterprise domain name.
|
|
| Send and receive
e-mail with external SMTP servers, such as Exchange, Notes and Groupwise, and forward to
other NetMail
supported gateway
connections.

|
| Use AS/400
applications and NetMail's
API feature to generate, send, receive and process text
based business transactions via e-mail.
