Designed to Enable E-mail and File Exchange on the AS400

NetMail*400 is a complete email product designed to enable email messaging and file exchange with any LAN email system (such as Lotus Notes, Outlook, or GroupWise), the Internet, other email networks, OfficeVision/400, JustMail/400, NetMail or other SNADS compliant AS400 e-mail systems. NetMail includes its own SMTP client software as well as a Green Screen Client for LAN, AS/400 or ISP Server access.

No matter which integration scenario you choose to implement, NetMail helps you construct a cost-effective messaging capability tailored to your requirements. You can easily link your AS/400 applications and green screen email users to local and remote PC-LAN based email users, and the Internet.

Multiple Integration Scenarios -

NetMail*400 provides the foundation to which you can add options to create an effective e-mail integration capability that links your AS400 e-mail users and applications with your LAN based users as well as the Internet.

A fully integrated Green Screen terminal POP3 SMTP client capability is included in NetMail*400. This allows local and remote green screen terminal users to retrieve their e-mail from a centrally located and administered LAN POP3 server or from an Internet Service Provider (ISP) POP3 server.

Net400's NetMail PC Gateway enables the AS400 to be integrated with a variety of different e-mail platforms into a total corporate e-mail scenario. Remote PCs, local LANs, e-mail networks such as MCI Mail, AT&T Mail, etc., fax servers, pagers - and more can be integrated with the AS400 through the NetMail PC Gateway.

NetMail400's NetMail Enhanced SMTP Gateway enables an AS400 e-mail system to send and retrieve mail for multiple LAN and AS400 users with the Internet via a single PPP account.

OfficeVision/400 Integration -

OfficeVision/400 and its companion product, JustMail/400, do not have the architecture for effective e-mail integration. They do not support file attachments, free form addressing, spool file distribution and more. Net400 effectively overcomes these limitations with its OV400 Gateway   product designed specifically to work with OfficeVision/400 (or any other SNADS compliant AS400 e-mail system.)

LAN E-mail Specific Issues -

Many LAN e-mail systems will have specific issues that must be accounted for in the integration solution. cc:Mail is different than Microsoft Mail, etc. Service Strategies provides for these differences in the form of specific gateway software from Infinite Technologies that operates in the NetMail PC Gateway.

Directory Synchronization -

Directory Synchronization can often times be achieved among the various e-mail systems in the integration solution. These are dependent on each of the e-mail systems providing a level of support to the directory synchronization requirement.
